My newest dragon doodling. I think it took around ~5hrs to complete with maximum focus on realizm in colors, values and shapes. I decided not to waste time on painting details and used phototextures instead (mixed with custom brush work, as usual).

Inspiration? First it was by watching How to train your dragon (wait, what?!), then Spartacus TV show, then Two Steps from Hell - Invincible on headphones. Fun fun fun.

Ridiculous! I had to doubletake to realize the gravel texture on the dragon lol. Very nice painting

Really amazing Maciej! your knowledge of lighting is incredible, the realistic feeling and the sensation to seeing cinematic images is relly impressive. I would love to see your process in this type of "exercise".
